Waylon Jennings is an icon not just as the familiar voice behind "The Good Ol' Boys" from the Dukes of Hazzard series but as a force in music. From his early days playing bass for Buddy Holly to his legendary collaborations with The Highwaymen, Jennings has shaped a unique musical narrative. Often, by his side, was his cherished leather-adorned 1954 Telecaster.
Working closely with the Jennings family, David Brown has masterfully captured the essence of Waylon’s beloved Telecaster, recreating every nuance from years of dedication. The 2-piece Ash body is adorned with a historically-accurate Butterscotch Blonde finish, which is then elegantly draped with a hand-crafted leather cover. The guitar also boasts a one-piece quartersawn Maple neck in a comfortable 10/56 "V" shape. Authentic early-‘50s Telecaster vibes are ensured with the Custom Shop Hand-Wound ‘50/’51 Blackguard pickups, producing sharp, clear highs and a balanced midrange and bass.
