The original Tech 21 Fly Rig, introduced in 2014, revolutionized gear for musicians by offering a compact, travel-friendly solution without compromising tone. It featured all-analog SansAmp technology, making it a versatile "rig" that could be used directly with mixers, PA systems, or as an addition to an amp setup. The Fly Rig 5 v2 builds on this legacy, retaining the core features like the SansAmp, Plexi/Cali distortion, and Delay, while adding new elements such as independent reverb with adjustable room sizes, an effects loop, a tuner, and an XLR output.

Key features include:

• SansAmp: Offers the tonal character of the Blonde Character Series pedal with a 3-band active EQ, Level, and Drive controls.

• Plexi/Cali: Provides two modes for distortion, either a muscular Plexi crunch or a high-gain West Coast sound.

• Boost: A pre/post switchable boost up to 12dB for adding volume or enhancing drive.

• Delay with Tap Tempo: Vintage tape echo sound with controls for Time, Repeats, and Drift for added modulation.
