This Magnificent Martin Custom Shop D-14 dreadnought was designed and built at the Martin factory and custom shop counter in Philadelphia with just 1 unit being made available. Furthermore the top quality woods were selected by C.F.Martin IV himself and later secored by AOG for our most discerning Martin collectors; and sold immediately!Featuring a AAA Adirondack spruce top and AAAA Madagascar rosewood back and sides for warm, balanced sound. Its full-thickness mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard with comfortable 14 clear frets enhance playability. Bone nut and saddle provide clear tone, while reliable Waverly tuning machines keep your instrument in tune. Finished with a glossy top and satin neck, it comes with a hard case for safe storage and transport. Crafted with attention to detail, this guitar is made to inspire your best playing.

Perhaps the finest aspect was that the Adi top was VTS treated and sanded to the finest finish possible under the Martin family leaderships most discerning eye for quality. This gave it an incredible resonance and perhaps the closest sound to a pre war built Martin without adding a number of zeros to the price tag. The ultimate Bluegrass and Folk Strumming guitar in house.
