This guitar sits at the pinnacle or the Gibson acoustic range - designed and realised over 18 months working closely with the custom shop and delivered solely for Art of Guitar - to be afforded their VERY OWN AOG serial numbers elaborates that these pieces are available solely through AOG and never allocations any other retailers a brief closely look reveals the very finest 5A quilted Maple and bespoke bracing system to ensure the sound projection is as impactful as the visually striking appearance.

the plan many years ago was to create an Acoustic version of the rare special and premium Les Paul Ultima - a guitar that was only rarely produced and only to special order.

Due to custom Acoustic guitars being made solely in Montana the answer was initially a ‘no’ as the Tree of Life fretboards could no longer be produced there.

having the finest guitars in the world is a mission for Art of Guitar so a number of conversations questions and ideas later we were able to work with Gibson to create these 2 beauties - one in vine Cherry and the other in Viper Blue. NOTE other 1 off colour combinations are in trial and will be released soon to VIPs on a first come first served basis and one to one selling process.

In addition to playing as well as any custom or single luthier built guitar we have ever presented these guitars are an absolute unique treat for the eyes - the quilted 5A woods used can be clearly seen through the very thin yet rich colourings and the use of pure mother of pearl on the headstock and bindings throughout the guitar arrived at 2 guitars that really will not ever again be attempted. A full 3 years passed between discussion and arrival and anyone who has set eyes on these guitars has stated them to be of the most beautiful to have ever been produced. At a level of performance to the incredibly rare ‘Monarch’ yet with an absolute singular look and feel these will keep the avid and serious collector happy in a way Gibson Acoustics rarely do. - equally at home at the Fine Acoustic show in Nashville as in your very own residence the joy of these will be timeless.
