From Eric Clapton to George Harrison - now in the finest Guitar Gallery in the Middle East - Here we have a super rare Gibson Les Paul - one of a very very limited run and, just like with the Pearly Gates, this guitar simply does not come available - Period!
We have been searching for many a year for a true collectors piece and finally managed to land one for
the finest Guitar Gallery in the Middle East. The 1 or 2 that we’ve tried out over the years have either been (pretty darn good!) copies, but copies non the less - and the search has gone on and on… And finally we tracked down a bona fide original ‘Lucy’ for our discerning and favourite collectors across the region. And yes - It’s right here now in our Dubai Guitar Gallery !!
The story of ‘Lucy’ is passed down through folklore and legend and this here is a collector grade model with little, if any, play wear at all. We’re pretty stoked!!
The original guitar which this model tributes started life as a 1957 Goldtop Les Paul; owned famously by John Sebastian, then Rick Derringer - who refinished the guitar from its factory Gold Top to Cherry Red. The guitar then found its way into the hands of Eric Clapton who crafted some of his finest riffs of all time , before Eric gifted to George Harrison and the rest, as they say, is History!!
Both Clapton and Harrison would go on to use this guitar on some of their most renowned works of their early careers. In fact a number of their finest licks and riffs were written on Lucy rather than the ‘Beano Burst’….!!!
The Gibson Custom Shop faithfully and painstakingly reproduced this guitar in very limited available pieces that were snatched up immediately; with permission and allowance through the estate of George Harrison himself; a true tribute to a beautiful, rare and tonal classic.
The guitar, dubbed by Harrison as "Lucy" (a whole story in its self - ) features a one piece super lightweight mahogany body with a plain-maple top off-center seam (a feature of many early '50s Goldtops). Lucy's mahogany neck - set with hot-hide glue , which Gibson Custom measured from the original '57 Les Paul, is a perfect playing piece as well as collectors dream.
Electronically, this guitar is equally perfectly equipped with Gibson Alnico III Custom Buckers, period correct Bumblebee capacitors amongst other aspects ; tone and accuracy aligning to the original PAF pickups in Harrison's guitar. Other features include a nylon nut, ABR bridge, and Grover 12:1 "Kidney Bean" tuners.

Returns Policy
If you decide to return the instrument, you must notify us via phone or email within the first 72 hours after delivery. We will then issue a Return Authorization. We will not accept any returned items that do not have a previously arranged Return Authorization.
When sending the instrument back to us, please ensure it is packed to the same standards in which it was received, using all supplied packaging. Once the instrument arrives back to us, we will inspect it to ensure it is still in the same condition in which it left our showroom. Once this inspection has taken place, RJ Luthier will issue a refund for the full purchase amount within 14 days.
All return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer on all musical instrument orders.
If, upon inspection, a guitar is not returned in the same condition it was sent to you in, a restocking fee may be deducted from the refund issued.
