Santa Cruz OM-42 Custom Acoustic Guitar

Santa Cruz guitars are known for their showstopping appointments, fit and finish and heirloom collectability but first and foremost for great tone and comfort. All of this is found in this custom Santa Cruz OM-42 that was one of the centerpieces on display at the 2023 NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA this April, showcasing premium wood selection, inlay and trim in a one of a kind package.

The clean, straight grained pre-war cut Old Growth Adirondack Spruce top with vintage tint has been seasoned for decades (this is not like the old stuff used on vintage/ golden era builds, it is the old stuff) and paired with a premium set of Figured Walnut back and sides with flame throughout and subtle ripples on the verticle lines, giving a shimmer to the vibrant wood as it moves. Snakewood presentation century blocks with Ivoroid border are inlayed at every fret with matching Snakewood bridge and headstock overlay plus full body, neck and headstock, backstrip and custom wedge bindings to boot. The very colorful Abalone Pearl 42-style top purfling and rosette ties the package together and the Gold Waverly tuners with Snakewood buttons tops it off.

Other features include Adirondack Spruce scalloped bracing with Hot Hide Glue construction, Bone pins, Ebony fretboard, EVO Gold frets, custom buffed Mahogany neck, Snakewood heel cap and wedge, tortoise pickguard, Maple/ black back, side and headstock purflings, 1 3/4″ nut width and more.
