There’s a reason James Taylor has played practically no other guitar than his wonderful selection of Olson guitars since he first picked one up around 30 years ago. With a phenomenal breadth of tone, booming bass balanced with crystal clear chiming trebles, this really is a finger pickers dream. Jim Olson hand builds all his guitars personally so it’s incredibly difficult to source one, especially of this stunning quality.
Back in 2002, during his 25th year as a luthier, Jim collaborated with James Taylor on the specification of a limited edition series of James Taylor Signature Model Olson Guitars.
Each JT Signature Model guitar bears a label personally signed by both James Taylor and Jim Olson, visible through the soundhole. Inside, the neck head block is laser-engraved with the "James Taylor Signature Model" designation, in addition to the serial number and year of construction.
Jim crafted a total of 100 JT models: 80 "Standard" JT models, and 10 each of two "Special Edition" JT models that supplement the standard model with special appointments and woods (this is one of the Special Edition Models).
SHIPPING & RETURNS
Returns Policy
If you decide to return the instrument, you must notify us via phone or email within the first 72 hours after delivery. We will then issue a Return Authorization. We will not accept any returned items that do not have a previously arranged Return Authorization.
When sending the instrument back to us, please ensure it is packed to the same standards in which it was received, using all supplied packaging. Once the instrument arrives back to us, we will inspect it to ensure it is still in the same condition in which it left our showroom. Once this inspection has taken place, RJ Luthier will issue a refund for the full purchase amount within 14 days.
All return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer on all musical instrument orders.
If, upon inspection, a guitar is not returned in the same condition it was sent to you in, a restocking fee may be deducted from the refund issued.
