Lowden F25c Cedar/Rosewood Cutaway Natural -  Fan Fret

The neck of the F-25C boasts a 5-piece Mahogany/Rosewood construction, providing stability and strength while maintaining optimal resonance. The GL standard neck profile offers a comfortable playing experience, with a nut width of 45mm that extends to 57mm at the 14th fret. This thoughtful design ensures that every note rings out with clarity and precision, allowing your fingers to effortlessly dance across the fretboard.

This F25C is designed as a ‘fan fret’ with a scale of 680 mm on the bass side and 640 mm on the treble side. This gives the low strings a longer scale leading to more tension, while the high strings maintain a short scale making them very easy to play. The result is a very balanced sound with even deeper basses than the standard Fs have.

In addition to its exquisite construction and tonal qualities, the F-25C offers the versatility of a cutaway, granting easy access to the upper frets and expanding your playing possibilities. The Gotoh 381 Gold tuners with Ebony buttons not only provide precise tuning stability but also add a touch of luxury to this exceptional instrument.

This Lowden Original Series F-25C comes fitted with Lowden Light Gauge 12-53 strings, specially selected to complement the guitar's tonal characteristics. These strings enhance the instrument's natural resonance and responsiveness, ensuring an immersive playing experience.

The 25 was often thought of as THE Lowden. Nowadays with many more new models it is not possible to say which would be THE Lowden, but the 25 has character in bags. It is rich, full-bodied, warm and powerful.
The F version is very loud and focused.  Great for percussive strumming, flat picking and fingerpicking.
