Ultra-Responsive Action & Quality Hammers
The ND-21 upright piano offers incomparable value with outstanding sound, touch and durability. In addition to the solid spruce soundboard, the ND-21 utilises Kawai’s exclusive Ultra-Responsive Action, combining experienced craftsmanship with our world-renowned piano technology, to provide exceptional touch and tone that will endure.
The ND-21 features the exclusive Ultra-Responsive action, with selected hardwood hammer shanks and 100% wool felt hammer heads, providing an extraordinary touch and feel. To improve the action’s climatic stability, Kawai pioneered the use of aluminium action rails, aluminium hammer rest rails and ABS action parts that address many of the problems associated with wooden components, such as breakage under continual high stress and shrinking/swelling due to changes in temperature and humidity.
Solid Spruce Soundboard
The soundboard and ribs are considered the most important sound-producing components of a piano, with both the materials used and the manner in which they are assembled greatly affecting volume and tonal quality. The ND-21 soundboard is produced using the finest quality straight-grained spruce, carefully selected and scientifically tested to exceed Kawai’s demanding resonance standards, ensuring exceptional dynamic range and outstanding tonal balance across the entire sound spectrum
SHIPPING & RETURNS
Returns Policy
If you decide to return the instrument, you must notify us via phone or email within the first 72 hours after delivery. We will then issue a Return Authorization. We will not accept any returned items that do not have a previously arranged Return Authorization.
When sending the instrument back to us, please ensure it is packed to the same standards in which it was received, using all supplied packaging. Once the instrument arrives back to us, we will inspect it to ensure it is still in the same condition in which it left our showroom. Once this inspection has taken place, RJ Luthier will issue a refund for the full purchase amount within 14 days.
All return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer on all musical instrument orders.
If, upon inspection, a guitar is not returned in the same condition it was sent to you in, a restocking fee may be deducted from the refund issued.

Each order will be expertly packaged to the highest standards and shipped via a tracked courier service.
Upon receiving your instrument, please inspect it to ensure that the condition of the item is as described in your communication with us.
Please contact us immediately via phone or email if you find any damage to the case or instrument that wasn’t previously disclosed at the time of purchase.

Pre-Order Delivery
- The above information of delivery times does not apply to Pre-Orders. Your item will be shipped according to the expected release date.
Orders placed outside of working hours, Sundays and/or during any public holidays will be deemed placed on the first working day following the Order's submission. Delivery timelines are estimates and delay may inevitably occur. Time shall not be considered of the essence. Order delivery may face delays during promotion periods, sale season and public holidays. We are not responsible for failures to deliver for reasons outside our reasonable control, including where you are not available to take delivery of your Order, or you request a postponement of the delivery. It is your duty to ensure you are available to receive the Order delivery. Our couriers may make up to 4 phone calls to book the delivery time slot with you and will make up to 3 attempts to deliver to you before your Order will be cancelled.
Address Changes & Tracking
Our Customer Care team will be happy to assist with changing your preferred delivery date and address should you require. However, if you have received an email informing you that your order has been dispatched, we won’t be able to change your address. Please note that a change to an address outside of the original delivery country will not be possible.
