The CN301’s Responsive Hammer III (RHIII) action authentically recreates the feel of a Kawai grand piano. Each key uses graded metal hammers (heavier in the bass, lighter in the treble) and counterweights producing a natural, balanced response across the keyboard. RHIII also employs a triple-sensor system and let-off simulation to deliver nuanced control, especially for trills and pianissimo playing.

Progressive Harmonic Imaging & three world-class grand piano voices

The CN301 features full 88-key stereo sampling of Kawai’s flagship Shigeru Kawai SK-EX and the EX concert grand, plus the SK-5 studio grand. SHS enhances headphone listening by creating depth and realistic spatial positioning. Choose from three acoustic presets and several headphone types (Open, Semi-open, Closed, In-Ear, Canal) to reduce fatigue and improve immersion during private practice.
