Iconic Guitars La Playa Custom - Trans Emerald, 5A Flame Maple top x NAMM 25

one of the biggest announcements of NAMM 25 was Kevin at Iconic Guitars, who was making a stunning impact on the guitar market by introducing fresh ideas and concepts to ‘nearly familiar’ styles - Tone and Aesthetics were priorities Number 1 and Number 1 : meaning nothing was sacrificed with this drive.

Well we learned at NAMM 25 that the fabulously talented John Cruz was joining as joint partner in the Iconic Venture and this was the first show where the ‘new’ format of the custom models were introduced. Being VIP merchants we got to the stand before official opening and had chance to discuss plans with Kevin and John and, more importantly, get a chance to try out the custom Solana and La Playa

To say we were blown away is an understatement- lightweight super premium wood choices gave away nothing in tonal impact whilst the guitars had clearly moved up another few notches in look and playability.

This La Playa custom comes in our favourite ‘Flag Green’ almost as if it was made for many of the GCC counties - the flame is outstanding and materials top notch from stainless steel frets to absolutely killer tone, Hand Wound monster pick ups - When you get the massive impact of a 9Kg Les Paul from a guitar 1/3 of its weight you just know that something special is going on!!

NOTE: we’re working on our Exclusive Retailer and Dealer position with Iconic to really blow the brand up in the region however this guitar was picked right off the shelves at the NAMM ‘25 event where we officially became a Global Top 100 dealer - once this has gone it’ll be a year before we can get any more NAMM grade guitars too!
