Gibson - Melody Maker [1961] Electric Guitar

A gorgeous, vintage 1961 Gibson Melody Maker in vibrant three-tone Sunburst gloss nitro lacquer finish is a rare offering indeed, and extremely difficult to source in this kind of exquisite condition. First introduced to an unsuspecting world of musicians in 1959, the Melody Maker became regarded as the more affordable answer to the Les Paul Junior. Mint examples today have a tremendous amount of tonal range regardless of the single pick up configuration 

This guitar has aged beautifully, the lacquer has awesome checking patterns with some relic style wear but the fret board (Brazilian rosewood) is super straight and the original frets have plenty of life left in them.

Pair it with a great tube amp and you’ll be delighted with its playability, looks and tone
