The Gibson Custom 1942 Banner J-45 Reissue brings the character of Gibson's iconic Golden Era J-45 to life with meticulous historic-inspired construction and Murphy Lab Light Aging.

Built in Montana, this round-shoulder J-45 features a thermally aged red spruce top paired with solid mahogany back and sides. Traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing with red spruce braces and hide glue is designed to deliver the powerful, warm and responsive acoustic voice that made the J-45 a true American classic.

The Vintage Sunburst finish is applied in a historic style, while the Murphy Lab Light Aged treatment gives the instrument subtle simulated play wear and lightly aged hardware for the look and feel of a well-loved vintage guitar.

A Historic neck profile, rosewood fingerboard, bone nut and saddle, aged nickel hardware, and open-back cream-button tuners complete this carefully detailed recreation.
