The Gibson Custom 1958 Korina Explorer faithfully recreates the original Explorer using detailed references from vintage instruments, including three-dimensional scans of original guitars. Its distinctive angular body is crafted from one-piece solid Korina, paired with a solid Korina neck and Indian rosewood fingerboard for an authentic vintage-inspired playing experience.

Two Gibson CustomBucker Alnico III humbuckers deliver the warm, articulate character associated with late-1950s PAF-style tones. The guitar is finished in a thin VOS nitrocellulose lacquer with light-aged gold hardware, giving it the appearance and feel of a well-preserved vintage instrument.

A white pickguard, ABR-1 bridge, lightweight aluminum stopbar, and Kluson-style tuners complete the historically inspired specification. A period-correct-style brown-and-pink hardshell case is included.
