1964 Fender Telecaster electric guitar ‘Clive Brown’ body Pre CBS Era

What a fantastic guitar we have here!

Every part of this fantastic Telecaster dates to ‘64, from the neck stamp, pots and wiring, and even the original hard case!

what’s more it has a Brazilian Rosewood ‘Slab Board’ neck which is all the more remarkable as these we ‘stopped’ in ‘62. Processes not being quite as tight back then there’s plenty of examples of the necks turning up in ‘63 but less than a Dozen in 1964 - and this is one of those!! These guitars are already super super rare but to get a FULLY ORIGINAL example from 64 sporting a full slaboard Brazilian Rosewood fret board - well that’s just insane!!  The last recorded one of these sold went for nearly $80k and all this was confirmed when the Fender GM showed up at the store recently too - the pots numbers, the neck date, the body date, the wiring, heck even the screws are original and so is the Original Hard Case. The only reason it’s 100k and not 200 is the re-fin, but wait even that is a rare and sought after

All the body work touch up has been done by the acclaimed Clive Brown, It even fooled the Fender team and was invisible under the black light, it’s impossible to distinguish the touches. In fact we only know because it came direct through Clive himself and has his pencil signatures on the neck and body cavities too (he also confirmed provenance with Nacho Banos !)  A pro-re-fret was also done by Mr. Brown, giving the excellent and gorgeous guitar the ultimate playability.

finally, this is probably the lightest Tele we’ve EVER played - super light and coming in a shade UNDER  7 pounds - incredible tone without any sustain being sacrificed.
