Legendary solo artist and Procol Harum guitarist Robin Trower helped define an era of guitar-riff rock with the first four notes of 1974’s “Bridge of Sighs.” Todd Krause has built exquisitely crafted custom instruments for many of the world’s greatest artists, including Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, David Gilmour, Robbie Robertson, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Robin Trower, Roger Waters and many others.

This unique offering is truly a match made in heaven and is an exact replica of the guitar Robin himself uses - deisgned built and supplied by Todd Kraus himself. So let's take a closer look at this Masterpiece -

Trower’s signature Stratocaster® guitar features custom pickups created by Trower and Fender master builder Todd Krause, with a reverse wound/reverse polarity middle pickup (including a humbucking option in the second and fourth positions). Other features include an alder body, custom C-shaped maple neck with abalone dot position inlays and narrow spacing, large ’70s-style headstock with ’70s-style decal, synchronized tremolo bridge, bullet truss rod adjustment nut and four-bolt neck plate. Custom Pickups This strat has a unique set of pickups. The combination of a Texas Special, reverse wound 60's and a Custom 54" give you great versatility of tone. The reverse wound cuts out any hum in the 2 and 4 positions on the 5 way switch and you can easily blend tones to get your own signature sound. All three pickups have amazing tone and articulation, regardless of the genre you play there's something for you here. Vintage Floyd Rose Tremolo, unlike modern 2 point tremolo systems, means it is attached to the body at 6 points. This is a period specific feature that faithfully recreates the hardware on vintage strats and gives it a richer tone and greater sustain for those looking to recreate the great vintage Blues sound.

The Robin Trower signature model from Fender Custom Shop sports a combination of a custom C-shaped neck and maple fretboard designed for the very top signature models on the alder body.

The Neck Pickup is equipped with Custom '54, the Middle Pickup is equipped with Custom '60s, and the Bridge Pickup is equipped with Texas Special. This pickup combination and the specific pick ups themselves were jointly developed by Robin Trower and master builder Todd Klaus. It is a specification and combination that gives a hum canceling effect at the half tone position.

Finally the stunning combination of the 70's logo decal on the large head, the Avalon dot position mark placed slightly narrower on the 12th fret, and the white color on the maple fingerboard is finished in a look reminiscent of the legendary guitarist and the era in which he rocked.
