GEORGE LOWDEN OF LOWDEN GUITARS

It’s no secret that we’re great admirers and supporters of Lowden guitars built by no other than George Lowden himself for around 50 years now. So Art of Guitar being the business it is we decided to invite the man himself to share with us the secrets of his journey to stardom over the decades. As any lucky fan will tell you it was a stunning, informative and fun evening and to top it all George actually brought with him tow of his Master Series guitars - these are guitars that the maestro himself builds - numbering as few as only 4 per year two of them ended up at Art of Guitar for this event. The Boss actually visited George’ workshop in N Ireland to elect two pieces of the most stunning Old Growth Brazilian Rosewood he’d ever seen from George private collection. This was then turned into two of the most beautiful and sonically perfect guitars we’ve ever had in our premises. So during the event George was able to discuss the build process and also offer the hand signed guitars for sale too. Don't be surprised to see a return visit sometime as we had a brilliant time with George and we are hoping with a sprinkle of that classic Dubai hospitality he may soon be heading back our way!
