A Limited-Edition Ed Sheeran signature guitar has been released to celebrate the release of the pop superstar's new album, =,.

With the 'Equals Edition' of Sheeran By Lowden, the latest collaboration between George Lowden and Sheeran is limited to 3000 units worldwide. It includes a host of signature appointments that will soften the blow of Adele's supremacy on the UK charts. 

With its W body shape, also known as the Wee Lowden, the Equals Edition is a small, parlour-sized acoustic that is just as at home on your living room couch as it is on stage at Wembley Stadium or in the recording studio. 

It has a Sitka spruce top and figured walnut back and sides, along with a mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard. We find our first custom feature here, with a maple-inlaid Equals sign marking the 12th fret. 

that is your only marker on the 21-fret fingerboard but there are miniature dot inlays down the outside of the unbound 'board. 

While the Equals Edition has a subtle, stripped-down aesthetic and natural finish, you'll find signature butterflies in the truss rod covers and on the heel stamp. The branding is tasteful as we would expect from the brand, with more etching on the Sheeran By Lowden logo. 

In keeping with the other W-bodied models in the Sheeran By Lowden lineup, the Equals Edition has a 24" scale and measures 43.5mm at the nut, making it an ideal choice for players with smaller hands. 

This instrument includes a custom label and a discrete preamp control setup for the onboard LR Baggs electrics. The Element Active System VTC system makes it suitable for live performances through an acoustic guitar amp. Other features include a Graph Tech Tusq saddle and nut, and sealed chrome tuners.
