In fact in the last 50 years Marc is the only luthier on the whole African continent to enter and remain in the top 10 global single luthiers and his guitars are incredibly difficult to source. In fact, unlike some other single luthiers, Marc only builds 2-3 guitars per year now and always on consignment: mainly using his impressive super old growth Brazilian Rosewood of which no new varietals currently exist apart from one on being commissioned for Art of Guitar.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTo make this guitar even more special it is made of an extremely rare varietal of African Blackwood ( a favourite wood already of builders like George Lowden and other top luthiers - with prices close by in on the best of the old growth Brazilian Rosewood or The Tree) - this tonewood is a Pink Hue version found in only 1 in very 5-10,000 African Blackwood trees so it’s no wonder that it is a veritable 1\/1 collectors piece with the most striking visual impact we’ve ever seen!
