With over 50 years experience and still building every single element of the amps by hand in the U.K., all point to point with narry a pcb board in site these amps not only look amazing they sound the business was too.
Building amps on a small scale for discerning musicians has allowed Cornell to stay true to his principles and the Romany is probably his most acclaimed commercially available amplifier with the Romany 12 being the top of the range!
Whether you're a seasoned gigger or home enthusiasts, the Cornell Romany 12 combo is a great choice. It is equipped with a 12" Jensen speaker and a maximum output of 10 watts, delivering a professional tone that is perfect for studio use or home practice. Players can benefit from a natural distortion sound, reminiscent of American blues amps from the late 1950's. Achieving the perfect tone is easy with the choice of volume, bass, middle, treble, and a Push Pull switch the on volume for EQ cut. In addition, an output valve voltage reduction control gives you the choice of 10, 1.5, 0.25 and 0.05 watts, depending on your usage. Along with its authentic tone, this 10 watt combo also features classic tweed covering, a brown grille and a leather handle for portable use. 50'S STYLE SPRING REVERB TANK
The Spring Reverb in this amp is stunning, reminiscent of those fitted in the classic tweed amps from the 50's. Unlike some Spring Reverbs which are often quite harsh and 'rattly' sounding, this has a very smooth and rich reverb included!
ROTARY WATTAGE SELECT SWITCH
Whether you're in the studio or playing at home, the wattage selection allows you to choose how powerful you want the amp to be. This means you can select a lower wattage and drive the amp harder however the overall volume being much lower - making it more suitable for home use!
